This itinerary celebrates the spectacular diversity of birds found throughout Costa Rica's different ecosystems. You'll be travelling around the central region of Costa Rica, passing through a handful of different ecosystems - from wetlands and coastal, to high-elevation cloudforests and lowland rainforests.

Costa Rica is home to over 900 bird species. This 16 day itinerary combines some of the very best birding destinations in Costa Rica, giving visitors ample opportunities to see an incredible diversity of species - both avian and beyond. You may get the opportunity to see birds that are found nowhere else on Earth, including the mangrove hummingbird and cabanis's ground-sparrow. There are also plenty of opportunities to spot macaws, toucans, motmots, manakins, and many more.
